AMSTERDAM

92 Shih Tzu were registred including only 6 French dogs: 1 female champion, 1 female in Open Class, 2 young males and 2 young females.

Around the boxing ring, we discovered some Dutch stockbreeders who did not present their dogs. To answer our interrogation of they said to us that they knew the judge well and that they preferred to abstain from presenting theirs dogs and we would understand thereafter.

The judge was Mr BUREMA from The Netherlands. Mr BUREMA does not appreciate the sophisticated grooming of Shih Tzu: on the boxing ring,he insisted remove the bow of the signal top knot. The attitude seemed to us somewhat authoritative and abusive (with when the color of the pets imposed by a judge who would not appreciate such or such color for example). Admittedly, it is not perhaps the use in Holland to put bows at the shih tzu, but a little more tolerance with respect to the practices and uses from abroad, would not be superfluous. Would the presence of a bow prevent the judge from being able to practise a normal examination of the dog? Certain exhebitors besides refused to withdraw it. They were not selected. Chance perhaps!! RUSTIC GROOMING WAS REQUIRED!!!

The French dogs were then the object of a very detailed attention: meticulous examination, in particular for teeth. This examination is completly in the logic of a judgement since it applies to all. It was not the case. Why? All the French dogs presented, were, specify it, free of problem of teeth.

From the analysis of his judgements, one can deduce that Mr BUREMA is a judge who does not appreciate too the French Shih Tzus (Begium either besides and many Dutch too). It can be interessing to know it. It is preferable for the dog to have the too long hair not, the slightly undulated dress, and for the Master, to preferably live in Scandinavian or Germanic countries whose exhibitors were largely majority (country where Mr BUREMA is more accustomed to exerting) It is a judge who French and Belgian present will avoid in the future, as do it an already many Dutch stockbreeders, which specifies us that it did not represent the Dutch judgement.
